Express Condolences

Kashan English Department offers pious Iranian nation his condolences for the anniversary of our last prophet, Mohammad (PBUH)'s death and martyrdom of the second innocent Imam of Shiite religion, Imam Hassan (PBUH), and martyrdom of Imam Reza (PBUH) and asks God to put all of us among the followers of the Prophets and Imams.

 

Mustafa Denizli

TEHRAN – Mustafa Denizli was appointed as coach of Persepolis football team on Saturday. 

Denizli joined the Iranian giant on an 18-month contract for an undisclosed fee.

The 62-year-old Turk, who had already refused Tehran-based popular club’s offer in September, will lead Persepolis in the second half of the Iran Professional Football season. 

“I am so glad to be here because it’s so important to me the Persepolis fans love me. I love Iranian people, especially Persepolis fans as well and that’s why I am here. Persepolis has not done well in the first half of the season and we will have to change our way,” the former Galatasaray, Fenerbahce and Besiktas coach said at the press conference held at Tehran’s Azadi Hotel.  

 

Denizli took charge of Besiktas football team in 2008 and won the double in his first season but quit his job in the summer of 2010 due to health problem.

He replaced Hamid Estili, who stepped down as the coach of Persepolis after arch rival Esteghlal knocked the team out of Iran’s Hazfi Cup on December 10.

Denizli has worked in Persepolis football team in 2006-07 season but has never won a cup in Iran’s most popular team.

Esteghlal coach

Esteghlal coach Parviz Mazloumi has condemned the standard of the Hafezieh pitch. 

Esteghlal lost to Fajr Sepasi 2-1 in the 21st week of Iran Professional League in Shiraz’s Hafezieh Stadium.

“Neither side found it easy to play on the ground. We have to play Shahin in this field in Iran’s Hazfi Cup final match and I hope that the officials changed their decisions,” Mazloumi said during the post match news conference.

Muharram

 

 

Muharram (Arabic: المحرّم) is the first month of the Islamic calendar. It is one of the four sacred months of the year in which fighting is prohibited.^[1] Since the Islamic calendar is a lunar calendar, Muharram moves from year to year when compared with the Gregorian calendar.

Muharram is so called because it is unlawful to fight during this month, the word is derived from the word haraam, meaning "forbidden". It is held to be the most sacred of all the months, excluding Ramadan. Some Muslims fast during these days. The tenth day of Muharram is the Day of Ashura, which to Shia Muslims is part of the Mourning of Muharram.

Muharram is a month of remembrance that is often considered synonymous with the event of Ashura. Ashura, which literally means the "Tenth" in Arabic, refers to the tenth day of Muharram. It is well-known because of historical significance and mourning for the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (P.B.U.H), the grandson of Prophet Muhammad.^[2]

Shias start the mourning from the 1st night of Muharram and continue for two months and eight days. However the last days are the most important since these were the days where Imam Hussein (P.B.U.H) and his family and followers (consisting of 72 people, including women, children and aged people) were killed by army of Yazid I at the Battle of Karbala on his orders, Surviving members of the family of Imam Hussein(P.B.U.H) and that of his followers were taken captive and marched to Damascus and imprisoned there.
